Thought it would be simple to interface with my best Nvidia cards, but now need an adapter. R.S. wants over $30. ‘expensive’ for it. Looking at my other options to use as a computer monitor.

I reckon it works as expected for a TV. Thought it was simple to setup.

Read of complaints about the remote. It’s my opinion, buttons which operate too easily will give much more accidental/fake imputs, those requiring a small more effort will not always take your input. There may be a perfect, pleased medium there, I don’t know.

The remote is horrendous. Buttons are hard to press, must point exactly at sensor and be super close. Terrible layout on remote. Tv looks excellent. Sound is okay.Takes a long time to turn on and change channels.

I have owned this 22″ Coby for 6 months. It is fine for an extra TV. If you are looking for fantastic sound or a remote that works this is not the TV for you. The remote has been a huge disappointment (as are their headphones). I can sit inches from the TV and it is unresponsive to the remote command. Universal would not work as code was unavailable. I am buying a new TV ASAP.

Appearance: Since the remote was, ahem, not excellent, I had to frequently use the buttons on the tv. They were not separated very well and I pushed the incorrect buttons all the time Everything else looked okay, but the buttons were a major turn-off.

Ease of use: buttons on tv and remote–horrible.

Features: It had a SD card reader, USB reader, AND DVD which all worked fantastic. You can place the name of your channels in the tv. You can’t set the time?! There are features on the menu that can’t be accessed. Sound is not so fantastic for playing music.

Picture quality: Was not better than my 2003 19-inch RCA crt tv but was okay for the price.

Portability: Was very light-weight, which was the main reason I bought a flat screen tv.

DVD player: I don’t remember having any problems with it.

I called Coby about the remote and the features that couldn’t be accessed. The lady told me that the batteries probably needed to be changed. The batteries had a “made” date and an expiration date on them. I don’t remember the expiration date, but I told her they were made in April 2009. No explaination for that. I questioned about features that couldn’t be accessed and she said I had to have digital cable in order for the time and other stuff to be accessed. I told her that there were digital channels on my tv…anyway. That remote, though is what made me pawn the tv. I threw the remote up against the wall and said to myself, “Hey, I’ll just go get a universal remote!” Yeah, right. I went to Radio Shack, Best Buy, Huge Lots, Wal-mart, Maxway and Family Dollar. There aren’t any remotes that support Coby tvs. Thanks Coby! Sheesh!

So, all-in-all, the remote killed it for my rating.
