Was going to buy this set, but chose not to when Samsung confirmed there is no headphone jack.

Many people need to be considerate to others in the same household or to neighbors. The jack has been standard equipment that prevented noise pollution when that was appropriate. There is no excuse for Samsung (and LG)to skimp a few dollars like this on a $1000+ product. It would be much better to have this function than a silly red tinge along the rim!

Samsung suggests the workaround of buying an adapter between its RCA audio output jacks and a headphone set. They were not very convincing about whether there was enough voltage coming out of the RCA jacks to drive a headphone and said there is NO automatic muting of the speakers when the RCA audio output is used. That’s just stupid. It means, according to Samsung, that anyone using other speakers (or this workaround headphone hook-up)has to manually turn off the regular speakers.

First a rep from CEVA called me at Sunday night and left her phone number on my voice mail. Then I could not reach them for Three days, I left a message – nothing helped. Only after I found this company on the Internet (no such information was provided) and contacted them, they arranged delivery for Thursday. I lost week in waiting the delivery.

I don’t know if they went around my TV all this time, but quality of the picture now is very poor.

I am using Component 1 to connect to cable box and TV shows 1920×1080 i @60Hz

Not 1080P 120Hz, though e Manual says that this provides digital connection and no any other information.

I bought HDMI cable, but it is not recognized by TV.

I found that my neighbor bought 42′ Sharp (older model) at local store, much cheaper than I and have much better picture and did not have all this troubles with delivery.

the initial-welcome sound came for a brief moment; but there was no picture.

Purchasing a television through Amazon has now been the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing anything. I have never had to talk to so many people about so many problems. It started with a concern of te delivery date on my buy. Then I finally recieved the product and it is broken. Now I am lost in a maze of customer service departments and people none of which can completely resolve the issue. I would not order at TV from Amazon if I were you. I am still embroiled in the issue two weeks after my order and still do not have a working TV.

I have a different older version of this tv. One thing i want to warn all customers/ owners about samsung’s ToC tvs. DO NOT ever Ever clean the bezel…even with the included cloth. They are guarenteed to leave micro scratches. I cleaned mine and finished with micro scratches all over the bezel. thankfully they are not noticeable in plain light due to the dark bezel. But if you shine a flashlight onto the bezel, you can certainly see all the scratches!
