everything is excellent, except all the i/p is on the left side of the tv, which make me buy all my cable a small bit longer, i wish all the i/p o/p and at the center of the tv.

Bought this after viewing in BB and thought it was the best picture I had seen. Got it home and it would even power on… Call Samsung to see if I was just missing the obvious but nope just DOA. No apologies, just we need to arrange for a support person to come out. I don’t know about others but when I buy something for $1800 it better work perfectly out of the box. Needless to say it went back… Buyer beware!
Of course BB’s response was equally pathetic. You would reckon in this economic climate, retailers would be tripping over themselves to ensure consumers spending multiple thousands are getting the best service. I eventually had to drive the TV back myself and the only person to apologize for the inconvenience and terrible experience was the warehouse guy who helped be unload. The store manager never said a word and that was after 45 minutes on death hold which finished in me hanging up and driving to the store…

This is the finest picture of any television I have set my eyes on. Simply watching HD TV at 720 is a joy, to say nothing of the clarity when linked to my 1080 Blue Ray. We had been using a video projector for our Home Theater, which provided a 50% larger image but had obvious contrast and ambient light issues.
My wife and I had been considering a large HD television for three years and could not choose between LED, LCD or Plasma. The Samsung 860 slim profile, viewing angle, contrast, color vibrancy and clarity led us to a unanimous choice to pull the trigger when we first saw it at a competitors store.
This was our first major electronics buy online. Amazon pricing, service and delivery where fantastic as always.
One month in and absolutely no regrets.

Like others here I did my research for about a month till I chose to buy this television, the PN50B860. 50″ of glory in my livingroom. I tweaked the settings in Movie mode for watching Blu-Ray movies from my PS3 and the picture is incredible! Way better than Best Buy and Sears setup, and regular DVDs look awesome as well. I change the Video settings depending on whats on, like football, video games, or movie from the remote.
I had a Sony 46″ LCD S-series before this, I know it’s not apples to apples, but it still woops that TVs picture! Playing MGS4 was never so pleasing…
I bought this TV for 1900 flat from an ebay seller on July 1st, and pleased with everything. I like amazon too, but I saved 300 at that time.
Oh yea, no BUZZ here either, seems like only the same person complained about BUZZ on other sites and he had a PN50A850 or was it PN50B850? Anyways, it was a 850 model.
Excellent Luck on your TV search, mine had a pleased ending.

I had three of these from Amazon with varying degrees of Buzzing and with various inputs not working. Samsung may have pushed the limits getting this TV so slim. I really like the TV (hence the three trys) it looks much better on the wall as it is so thin. The buzzing on this set is variable so there may be some sets out there that are OK, but only one of mine was close to acceptable and that had broken inputs. I went with the PN50B650, still quite slim at 3.5 inches and still the same fantastic picture. As with all plasmas there is still some Buzz, but not loud enough to spoil your viewing enjoyment. I am much more pleased with the 650 and have had no problems so far. I saved $500 into the bargain.
