Jump Lists
New in Windows 7, Jump Lists take you right to the documents, pictures, songs, or websites you turn to each day. To open a Jump List, just right-click a program icon on the Windows 7 taskbar. (You’ll also find them on the Start menu.) What you see in a Jump List depends entirely on the program. The Jump List for Internet Explorer 8 shows frequently-viewed websites. Windows Media Player 12 lists commonly-played tunes. Your Jump List missing a favorite? You can “pin” whatever files you like there. Jump Lists don’t just show shortcuts to files. Sometimes they also provide quick access to commands for things like composing new e‑mail messages or playing music.
Improved Windows Taskbar
In Windows 7 you can “pin” favorite programs anywhere on the taskbar for simple access. Not crazy about the icon lineup? Now you can rearrange them any way you like by clicking and dragging. Finally, there are new ways to preview windows. Point to a taskbar icon to see a thumbnail preview of open files or programs. Then, go your mouse over a thumbnail to preview the window full-screen. You can even close windows from the thumbnail previews–a huge time saver.
Snap
Ever need to cut through a cluttered desktop and quickly focus on a single window? Just click a pane and give your mouse a shake. Every open window except that one instantly disappears. Jiggle again–and your windows are back.

Energy Efficient Intel Pentium Processor
![]() |
Offering the latest in ultra-low voltage processing power, the dual-core Intel Pentium SU4100 has a has a power consumption rating of just 10 watts and a 1.3 GHz speed that’s paired with a quick 800 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and 2 MB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system’s performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a quicker front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.)
Designed for use in ultra-thin laptops to balance the competing needs of high performance with battery consumption, the Pentium SU4100 features Intel SpeedStep technology, helping your system to dynamically adjust processor voltage and core frequency to decrease power consumption and heat production. It also comes with built-in Do Disable Bit technology, which helps keep your laptop safe from viruses, worms, and other malicious attacks.
Hard Drive Protection
While the highly portable nature of notebooks exposes them to the knocks and bumps that are an inevitable feature of life on the go, this Toshiba model features a 3D-accelerometer monitoring system that detects freefalls, shocks and vibrations and protects the integrated HDD to secure against the loss of any personal data.
Integrated Webcam with Face Recognition Capabilities
A 1.3 megapixel digital web camera built into the LCD’s bezel lets you quickly snap photos and participate in live video chats. The integrated webcam does more than just video chats. It includes Toshiba Face Recognition capabilities–the ultimate hands-free, hassle-free way to log onto your laptop. Just show your face to the webcam–no keeping track of hard-to-remember passwords and no unnecessary typing. And if you’re using one laptop for several users–say for the whole family or for a small business–Toshiba Face Recognition lets you switch profiles with one simple look.

This is my 5th Laptop and 7th Computer in my life. I had previously owned two PC’s – Dell and HP.
Laptops i owned are Acer – 4100, Lenovo 3000 N100, IBM ThinkPad T40, T60, T61, Apple Macbook Pro.
And this is my 50th Buy from Amazon.
I bought this Laptop after making a tough comparison with ASUS X5. This one as others mentioned have lot of -ves.
First let me list all the +ves.
1. Bright Screen.
2. Excellent battery life ( but in low feature as advised you can get max of 7 hrs).
3. Speaker sound is OK -after you make the adjustments as advised by others.
4. Laptop speed is an average.
5. Lightweight this is less than 4 Lbs as mentioned.
-ves’
1. Toshiba have an TV ad for T135 – saying this will start working in 10 secs after you just close the LID, but its not right. This takes atleast a minute to show the screen. I guess the processor is pretty slow or un responding.
2. Wifi Card – Atheros is the utter flop and everytime i have to manually right click on the bar and say Troubleshoot problems. – 0 Star.
3. Web Cam is the most ugliest i have ever seen – Lots of Grains and its not clear., have to do lot of adjustments to make it seeable. – 0 Star.
4. Key board is the major Flaw, in my case the Down arrow and the Left arrow keys got struck and times not working.,
Alt + Spacebar combination is un-recognizable. – 0 Star
5. Touch Pad is a major major Flaw and very much Annoying., because of this i am giving the least star., Amazon should allow 0 stars. One single bar for LEft and Right click is very tough and needs lots of pressure to use. – 0 Star
6.Though this laptop runs silently at times Laptop gets heated for no reason. You cannot keep it in your Lap on that heat.
My sincere advise is please do not buy this Laptop and waste your time.
Amazon’s customer service is pretty excellent as always. They sent me the return Lable to my mail ID today. So going to return this Laptop. These are my last words from the same Laptop.

I’ve only had it a couple of weeks, but overall I like my T135-S1310. I like the size of the laptop and even the screen. It’s huge enough. I don’t like that it’s better for left-handed folks. I’m a righty. The USB ports, DC-IN, jacks, etc., which are on the right-hand side of the laptop should have been placed on the left-hand side to keep out of the way of using a mouse, wired or wireless. The ports, cooling vent, lock slot, etc. on the left-hand side should have been placed on the right, since they won’t be used as often and therefore wouldn’t be in the way. Also, the adapter cord is the cheapest I’ve ever seen and the print on the keys is very dull grey instead of bright white, which can strain the eyes in less than bright lighting.
Thanks for the tip on the sound.

I was in the market for a netbook when I realized how much I’d be giving up, primarily the ability to see the screen. This size is perfect for my 53-year-ancient eyes. I rarely use a CD/DVD drive so I wouldn’t miss it, though I did buy a small Samsung external drive for the times I needed one to load software, etc. The screen is brilliant. The speakers are horribly tinny, but the volume is tweakable as one of the other reviewers describes (thanks for that!). Battery life seems quite adequate. I haven’t pushed it all the way on battery power but I did learn the eco mode (lower screen brightness) and I have seen a noticeable difference in drain rate. I’m skeptical about the 9 hour, 22 minute claim, but we’ll see. Anything over 6 hours is gravy. The keyboard is very sleek: I like the sound and feel of it. It seems like all the other reviewers find fault with touch pad, but it’s fine for me. It doesn’t misbehave at all and works as well as any I’ve used. I should give it 4 stars because the mouse buttons are very stiff, but I suppose the engineers wanted something that wouldn’t be casually depressed. I reckon they went too far. Wireless setup was seamless with my home network. My wireless printer recognized it easily and even my Bluetooth phone paired with no hassles. Webcam is another tale. It’s working, but not with Gmail. It’s probably some setting I haven’t figured out yet. I don’t blame Toshiba. I really like this small computer.
Pros:
Small, but huge enough.
Nice screen resolution.
Simple setup.
Excellent mechanicals – keyboard, touch screen, web cam, bluetooth.
Fantastic battery life.
Cons:
Mouse buttons very stiff.
Suboptimal speaker quality.

This computer is extremely nice and thin. The screen is really gorgeous aswell. If you looking at mini netbooks you should take a look at this computer because of its sive, weight, screen, battery life and how energy efficient it is. Fantastic portable labtop.
